We are seeking to understand your design approach and thought process by having you create a user journey for a specific scenario: splitting an e-commerce order with multiple sellers.
Scenario Overview
A user places an order on an e-commerce platform that supports multiple sellers. However, one of the sellers is experiencing a shipping delay, affecting only some items in the order. The system needs to allow users to:
Split the order and receive the available items first
Decide what to do with the delayed items—wait for them, replace them, or cancel them
Clearly understand changes in shipping costs, estimated deliveries, and potential refunds
The cancellation/modification process should be seamless and intuitive, ensuring that the user can make informed decisions without confusion.
General flow/screens to consider
User is at the Order Details Page, sees an option to modify the order due to a shipping delay, enters the Modify Order flow, selects an action (split, wait, replace, or cancel), reviews the updated shipping details, costs, and refunds, confirms the changes, and returns to the Order Details Page with updated tracking info.
Design Deliverables
Designs (UI) depicting the flow of the scenario described above, from viewing the order details to confirmation of partial cancellation
Annotations, research or explanations of the design decisions made at each step of the process
Design system, user flows, wireframes (optional)
