Assignment: Structuring Large-Scale Content for Seamless Integration

Scenario:
Miko is expanding its interactive content library, adding thousands of books, quizzes, games, and challenges. However, the content is unstructured and inconsistent, making it difficult for the tech team to integrate and scale effectively.

Here are some examples of content types:

1. Tap-Based Questions (MCQs) – Single or multiple correct answers, using text, images, or audio.

2. Drag-and-Drop Games – Sentence structuring, word formation, sorting categories, etc.

3. Speech Recognition Activities – Kids read aloud and receive feedback.

4. Multiple Tap Games – Kids tap all correct answers while avoiding distractions.

   
   

As Miko scales, it needs a structured and organized way to manage this growing content efficiently.

Your Task:

1. Structuring Content for Scalability

   • How would you organize this content to make it easy to store, retrieve, and scale?

   • What key fields or metadata would each content type need? (E.g., difficulty level, category, media type)

2. Content Management & Collaboration

   • How would you design a simple workflow for adding and managing new content?

   • If you were working with engineers, what details would you provide them to help build this system?

   • What challenges do you foresee in maintaining and updating this content library?

3. Ensuring Long-Term Organization & Growth

   • As new content types are added, how would you ensure things remain structured and searchable?

   • Would you suggest manual tagging, automation, or a mix of both? Why?

Would you build a CMS in-house or use an existing tool? If using an existing tool, can you suggest one that fits this use case?
